Early Childhood

We offer many wonderful opportunities for children (birth to kindergarten) and their families to form connections and friendships. Our fabulous preschool offers extended care and a variety of enrichment classes. All programs are designed with the development of the whole child and family in mind and many include parent participation. In addition to the classes listed on this page, we offer the APJCC Preschool, Camp Katan, and Birthday Parties.

Sports

The JCC offers lessons from May through October in our heated outdoor pool. We offer classes for all ages, children through adults. Your child will receive individualized attention in our small classes, which are grouped by age & ability. Private & Semi-Private Swim Lessons (all ages)

Does your child need a little one-on-one attention to improve his or her swimming skills? These lessons are set up at your convenience and can be held year round. Both Private and Semi-Private lessons progress at the student’s pace. Prices are based on the student’s membership status. Dance

Experience the joy of dance at the APJCC Dance Academy! We offer classes for ages 2-18 in a variety of dance styles. For preschoolers, we also offer and "Zoo"mba (tumble like an animal!) and "Parent and Me" classes.

Children's dance classes are ongoing from September through May, so students can begin on any date. There are no classes in the summer. The first day of class is September 13th.

Each class is 45 minutes long.

Fees: Tuition is $65 per class per month. There is also an annual registration fee of $25 per child for JCC members, $75 per child for non-members. Dance Academy t-shirts may be purchased for $5.

This class provides a fun morning playtime for toddlers and parents or other caregivers in a Jewish environment. We'll learn about Jewish holidays, sing, and create art as well as play with new friends. A grown-up partner is required to participate. This hands-on class uses fun activities to instill an appreciation of Jewish heritage. Children will be introduced to everyday objects, symbols, and mitzvot (commandments) from Jewish tradition, such as a mezuzah, hamsah, havdalah, prayers, and traditional foods. These parenting skills workshops are facilitated by local experts, with plenty of time for parents to learn from each other. Co-sponsored by the JCC and Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley.
